The Bureau of Animal Industry has announced during an advocacy seminar that a project will target Agusan del Sur’s poultry industry. The announcement was made by director Dr. Ronnie Santiago.
The project is called “Itik Pinas,” a joint effort of BAI, National Swine Poultry Research Development Center (NSPRC), Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and the Agricultural Training Institute (ATI).
It aims to provide farmer beneficiaries with superior breed of ducks and chicken for advanced growth and production.
Director Santiago explains that the breed has 70 percent higher growth than previous generation breed with only 55 percent growth.
